Challenge

Legit Coffee Co. has served delicious coffee and food in Dublin 8 since 2015, including a takeaway service throughout the 2020 and 2021 pandemic lockdowns. Legit had a loyal customer base of locals but wanted to attract customers from further afield as the tourism industry reopened and expand its business nationally through the addition of an eCommerce platform. To achieve these goals, they needed a new website that would effectively showcase their mature brand along with the range of food, drinks, and retail goods they stocked.

Jamaycon Oliveira Figueiredo

Owner, Legit Coffee Co.

Aidan has been an absolute pleasure to work with on my website redesign and e-commerce venture! He has a real talent for gleaning exactly the right information to craft a successful digital strategy and website. Aidan has the know-how, keen design sensibilities and attention to detail to deliver a great website experience for the end user and his photography services really helped to set the website apart. I would highly recommend working with him.

Approach

I worked with Jamaycon to clarify the business needs and develop a digital strategy to help Legit accomplish its goals. Together we formulated a site structure that aligned with user mental models to provide a simple and easy to navigate website. Following this, we explored different visual directions for the website before deciding on one that best complemented the elegant and sophisticated direction the company is moving towards. Jamaycon and I crafted the website copy jointly in tandem with the design phase. During this phase, I created custom wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and an animation & interaction plan for the website. We held a photoshoot where I shot portrait photos of Jamaycon for the new website alongside photographs of the food and drinks Legit offer. Finally, I built out the website and integrated it with a CMS and eCommerce platform.

Result

The Legit Coffee Co. eCommerce website launched successfully in June 2021 and has been highly regarded by existing and new customers alike. Jamaycon was delighted with the photoshoot and the overall look and feel of Legit’s new website.
